Wal-Mart has you captive in the check-out line, listening to the tiny TV. Nevermind the ones overhead. Probably a sign not to shop there.

We have pretty good BBQ right around the corner. More to the point, they have the best iced tea in town.Salhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13201226644704622876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5415946761607993140.post-48154180778005694442009-02-14T08:53:00.000-08:002009-02-14T08:53:00.000-08:00It's even worse when it snows. It melted in the lowlands within a day, but you would think the haif inch of snow they got was a blizzard or somethin'. LOL!

I'm glad to hear yer Mr. Coffee works okay. That always helps.
Incidently, I had no idea the fast food places had tv's in 'em now.
I don't think they got them here, yet.USS Ben USN (Ret)https://www.blogger.com/profile/07492369604790651538noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5415946761607993140.post-24149400399662815092009-02-14T00:01:00.000-08:002009-02-14T00:01:00.000-08:00I like to watch tv news - or anything else for tha...I like to watch tv news - or anything else for that matter - with the sound from another station. Drives my wife crazy but I've done it for years cuz it's highly entertaining. To me.

Word veri [tedia] just popped up with an option to "listen and type the numbers you hear". Eh? But Thank you.

Mushroom:
One of the more- interesting gastronomical encounters I had was ordering "barbeque" back east. Now I had some in a restaurant off I40 in Oklahoma that was as good as food gets. And it was BBQ in the way I understand it- MEAT cooked over a wood fire with just enough sauce on it to enhance the flavor of the beef, pork, and chicken.
The stuff I got in Falls Church Virginia wasn't quite the same. It was pork that had been cooked for several weeks in a sweet tomatoey syrup until the meat had a texture like boiled hair. :p~ It was served on a bun like a sloppy joe. Emphasis on the sloppy. The only culinary disaster worse than that was ordering Mexican food in Detroit. That meal would have killed a seagull's appetite.

JWMJWMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05564732483476859555noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5415946761607993140.post-27049082591487313542009-02-13T20:31:00.000-08:002009-02-13T20:31:00.000-08:00A couple of things are necessary for finding good ...A couple of things are necessary for finding good restaurants in the Midwest -- one is time. A strong immune system and the ability to digest golf balls makes it much more pleasant.

Most of our best local places are BBQ.

I could do without TV's, as well.mushroomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07651027035577798096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5415946761607993140.post-10754530527627240272009-02-13T18:48:00.000-08:002009-02-13T18:48:00.000-08:00Er, 4/12/08.
